Ashley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that specializes in working with teens and adults, in both individual and family counseling. In 2010 she graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA with her Masters in Social work, and a specialty certificate in Disaster Mental Health.
She has worked extensively with clients who have encountered a violent or traumatic experience, as well as individuals experiencing traumatic grief. Ashley has been trained in the Grief and Trauma Intervention Model, and has worked with clients using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Additionally, Ashley has been trained as an Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) therapist, and has experiencing working with families and teens experiencing emotional and behavioral issues at home and school. In working with parents Ashley provides parenting support and education to address behavioral issues. Ashley’s areas of specialty are depression, anxiety, grief counseling, trauma/crisis counseling, emotional and behavioral issues in teens, parenting support and education, school/work/career issues, and conflict resolution.
Ashley has been practicing mindfulness in her own life since 2009, and incorporates mindfulness practices in her work with clients. Her approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She likes to integrate complementary methods and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
